Sometimes We Look Like a Trex....

BUFORD: Here we are installing a Trex wood composite deck. This board is their Trascend Spiced Rum...we like the grain very much. Very similar to TimberTech's Tropical Collection

It's amazing how this small looking bundle is a complete deck. We order our products from PMC Building Materials

Although we used TREX decking, the railing system is all TimberTech. This is their Evolutions Railining System...

With square aluminum balusters.

We actually looked at this job in late July 2016 and started the project in early March of 2017.

It one was on of those sunny brrrrrr days. Cold but onward we demo'd.

And ran into this snag. Rotted lumber likely from the lack of flashing under the door.

Of which we replaced with new pressure treated lumber.

Nothing like forward progress with the framing. People often think that first go the support posts then the framing but it's actually the reverse process.

Most of the deck is complete & we're just now installing the posts. This occurs because homes aren't square & getting the deck framing square is the priority. The post follow the frame.

Nice! This railing system leans mostly on the contemporary look. We love the two tone. The clients did a great job selecting the products.

The main decking is TREX Transcend Havana Gold with Transcend Spiced Rum Borders.

The deck span a robust 20'x24' (480 SF) and the house still looks huge.

The black railing system provides great contrast.

And in the end the clients asked for a ballroom entrance stair system. Very nice.
